Since we started school that is! Tomorrow week 4 starts, and it brings a midterm with it….

But lets start from the beginning!

I was super nervous the 1st day. Not for me, but for Freddy. He’s never been with anyone but Grandma, and I was sooo worried about living him for 6 hours… What if he wanted me and I wasn’t there? Would he be upset? Mad? What if the teachers didn’t understand what he wanted? Would he be frustrated and hate school? And how the heck would I hold up not having him by my side and thinking all that stuff?

That’s why it’s sooo great that Freddy’s preschool is on campus! The first day he went in all cheerful, and didn’t care that we left! Little did he know, mommy came to check on him about 10 times

He was great! Playing, having his lunch. Didn’t take a nap though

When I came to pick him up that day, my kid did not want to leave! He wanted to stay longer and play with his new friends

He talked about school all the way home and then some, and was very excited to go back the next day! He still is! He loves school, would tell anyone who wants to listen all about it! He still eagerly gets ready in the morning, and doesn’t argue about his bed time.

He’s had his bad days at school (Jumping off tables, spitting…), spent some time int he director’s office (she adores him, by the way!). But most of the time he is great! He even started taking naps at school which everybody is excited about!

What about me you ask? I still check on him at least once a day but I am better; I know that he loves the place, they love him and he does very good there!

While he is in preschool, mommy is in her classes! I am taking 12 credits this term, it’s full time, but I know I can do more; I just decided to start slow! I am doing my minor pre-reqs which this term are Art in Elementary School and Music Foundations for Elementary School. I am also taking Sociology on Minorities. Art class is the easiest so far, Music is the most fun (we are learning to play recorders). And Sociology is my least favorite… it’s good and all, I just don’t like that it’s a lecture… I have a soc midterm on the 20th, which is the day after tomorrow, and I am dreading it…

Other than that, I am really happy I decided to go back to school! It’s really nice to be able to do something with your time and be “rewarded” for it in the end!

It’s crazy how fast Freddy changes, and it makes me so happy that I love my camera so much and take a lot of pictures to capture his moments!

Sometimes I look at him and it amazes me how grown up he seems… He doesn’t look like a baby anymore, except for maybe when he sleeps! He is so interested in everything, so curious and full of questions!
I can’t believe he’ll be starting preschool this monday! He is really excited about it by the way!

Well, like I said I spent the whole day at PSU on Thursday, doing “school” stuff

I could harly sit there, but at least by the end of the day I was registered for 3 classes – 12 credits!

Non of them is for my major though… As a matter of fact I still do not know what it’s going to be since they are taking forever evaluating my transcripts… The only thing I know I have the highest level of transferrable hours, which is 90-134; that puts me on junior level!

I’ll be in schol every day, from Monday to Friday, but I only have 2 days with 2 classes, other 3 days are 1 class each…

I am taking Art in the elementary school, Music fundamentals and Social studies on minorities. All are for my minor, the 1st two are pre-reqs.

No, I am not ignoring my blog!
In fact last weekend we spent at Rachael’s (my sil) house having a sleepover with her, and Freddy’s little friend and her mom. Freddy and I got home after 10 pm on Tuesday, and I was going to edit all the pics and make an entry about it.
Except that on Tuesday I got sick and am now just getting over it…
My mom was freaked out, thinking about swine flu (of course!). But I did have a fever and body aches. I also could hardly breath and every time I coughed my lungs would burn…
Well, stupid me was taking over the counter stuff… And to make matters worse, I had my PSU orientation on Thursday.
I was actualy feeling better that morning, but I had to stay on campus till almost 5 pm, and I could hardly drag myself back home afterwards… I came back and just crashed…
Next morning we decided to go to the Zoo member appreciation day. Why, I have nooo idea… It was hot and crowded and made me feel even worse…
In the evening I finally decided it was time to go to urgent care. Because I had a cough and a fever, they made me wear a mask in the waiting room which really freaked out some people. It was actually kinda funny how this mom and her 20-something daughter just got up and moved away from us
But anyways, turned out I had bronchitis… They gave me breathing treatment, and sent me home with antibiotics and inhaler.

5 days later, I am finally feeling better, I was able to go to the store and clean the house even! I am still coughing, but my lungs don’t burn anymore, and I get tired faster than usual. But compared to what it was, it’s a lot better!!!

Whoa! Is it really the first of September? Is it ironic that the weather just got colder? It was raining this morning and I heard thunder around 7 am!
The leaves are starting to turn all sorts of pretty colors!
All that makes me really excited for things like Halloween and Thanksgiving, and all the pretty autumn pictures!

Oh, but do you know what indicates fall in my book? Starbucks has Pumpkin Spice Lattes now!!! Yummy!!!

I got my hair cut by the way, and I love it!!!

Congratulations! You have been admitted to Portland State University for the Fall 2009 Quarter. We are very pleased you will soon join this dynamic Portland State community.

Yup, I got accepted to PSU! I actualy found out the firday before we left for camping but got an official letter this week!

I have a phone appointment with an orientation advisor on September 3rd, so hopefully I’ll be able to pick my major and get my schedule!

Since my old Uni sent them my trascripts, I want to wait to pick stuff before I find out how many of my credits were transferrable. I finished 3 years already, so I don’t want to go to school for too long, I just want to finish my degree!

Freddy will be goint to an on-campus preschool! He is really excited about it, and keeps asking if it’s time for him to go yet!

It was great!
We went to the Toll Bridge campground (by Mt Hood). Turned out the spot we reserved was pretty good! It was pretty private, with a river access.
Freddy absolutely loved it!!! I kinda thought he’d want to stay in the tent most of the time since he is obsessed with tents, tunnels, etc… But he actually wanted to walk around, and play in the river, and stuff…

We got pretty cold the first night though, but thankfully Jason’s grandparents were able to come see us and bring us more blankets!

Jason built a little “pool” in the river, so him and his sister went “swimming” in it. It was waaaay to cold for me, but Freddy wanted to be like Daddy, so he swam too
